-Esmail Abdi a teacher and a member of the executive board of Teachers Association of Tehran was arrested to serve a 6 years jail term on November 9, 2016.
-Mahmoud Beheshti another teacher and a member of the board of directors of the teacher’s Association with 5 years sentence term has been arrested on September12, 2017. Hi is on hunger strike now in protest of – He has been on hunger strike since 2 July 2018, in protest of the bad deal with political prisoners. His health is in danger.
-A good news is Musa Reza a teacher activist in Mashhad was released on June 30 after seventeen days of imprisonment
-Mokhtar Asadi, a teacher from Kurdistan who was sentenced to one year imprisonment in protest of bad education, was released on July 9 from Evin Prison.
-Atena Daemi (the children’s and women’s rights, activist) was arrested in November 26, 2016 to serve her 7 years jail term.
–Mohammed Habibi, a member of the board of directors of the Teachers’ Association in Tehran, who was arrested on May 10 2018, is still in prison. His physical condition is not good.
– Rouhollah Mardani, a teacher and student at Tehran University, was sentenced to 6 years imprisonment and 2 years of social exclusion. He was arrested February 17, 2018 and is still in prison.
– On July 5, Khalil Karimi, a labor activist in Sanandaj, and a member of the Free Trade Union of Workers of Iran, was again summoned to court. He was charged with propaganda against the regime, taking part in the International Labor Day, participating in the New Year celebrations and supporting the family of Ramin Hussein Panahi, who is at risk of execution. Khalil Karimi condemned these allegations against human rights and defended his struggles. He was released on bail after interrogation. In another case, Valeh Zamani, a labor activist in Tehran, was summoned to court on July 15th with charges of the same type.
-A large number of people have been arrested during mass protests in different cities of Iran againt Islamic regyme of Iran In the last seven months.
Please send your protest letters to the authorities of Islamic regime of Iran and support our demands:
-All political prisoners and the detainees of the recent protests must be immediately released.
-All charges brought against imprisoned worker- and teacher activists must be dropped.
– Securitizing Workers’, Teachers’, and the General Public’s Protests in Iran should be stopped. Trials of workers and all political activists must be stopped and any kind of fabrication of charges against them must be cancelled.
