َA report of FTN’s meeting with Amnesty International representative in Toronto in Canada

On May 25, 2019, a delegation composed of: 1) Mohammad Kazemi on behalf of the campaign To Free Jailed Workers in Iran (Free Them Now); 2) Sahar Tiam, on behalf of campaign To Free Political Prisoners in Iran ; 3)Yadhi Mahmudi from the International Committee Against Execution met with Amnesty International representative in Toronto. In this meeting, the following items were discussed: the recent arrests by the Islamic Republic of Iran, the demand for the immediate release of all the detainees, the end to the securitizing of the struggle against the Islamic regime, unconditional release of all political prisoners and the cancellation of bail. Ms. Farah Khan, Amnesty International representative, thanked the delegation and promised to send the documents presented to her, to the main Amnesty International Center in London, England. Our requests was that the Center would sign a resolution that has been prepared by the Free Them Now campaign requesting the dismissal of the Islamic Republic from the International Labor Organization. Thus far, this resolution has been signed by the four trade unions.
