Congratulations to all of you on May Day the International Workers’ Day
I am Farangis Mazlum, the mother of Soheil Arabi, a former political prisoner. I am a plaintiff mother because my son Soheil, who had done no crime but was defending freedom and humanity, was imprisoned for many years and was harassed and tortured, and with his tortures, we were also tortured. I am accused now as a “security threat” because of defending Soheil and all Soheils, for protesting against imprisonment and torture, and I have been sentenced.
There ar many manySoheils. There are many mothers like me. Mothers and families like me are in a lot of pain. Families whose relatives are currently in prison. There are many families who have lost their children and dear ones in prisons, Many of our children have been executed and their mothers and fathers and friends are bereaved and mourning.
I am I try to be the voice of all these mothers and all these families. We, the plaintiff families, and we the people are all talking about one thing: we neither forgive nor forget. And this is our cry of protest on May Day, the International Workers’ Day.
Today, many workers, teachers and social rights activists are in prison for protesting against the poverty and misery that prevails in society. Therefore, protesting against imprisonment, torture and execution, is an important and urgent issue for all workers and all people. May Day, International Workers’ Day is the day of indictment of the regime by all of us people. Once again, congratulations to you workers. Teachers, retirees, and all you people. Long live
May Day the international workers’ day!
