Today, the 40th day of Mahsa Amini’s murder, was another important and unforgettable day of the mass uprising in Iran . It is a real popular revolution for overthrowing the barbaric Islamic regime. On this day, people across the country came to the streets with large gatherings and shouted their slogans and clashed with the military forces of the government and commemorated Mahs Amini.
Aichi Cemetery in Saqqez city where Mahsa is buried, today became a meeting place for people to shout “death to the dictator”, We witnessed unforgettable scenes in this gathering and the magnificent line of people marching to attend this event. The government had set up roadblocks to prevent people from attending, and men and women rushed to the cemetery from all sides and chanted slogans against dictatorship and oppression.
In addition to Saqqez, there was also many big protests abd gatherings in Tehran today, and demonstrations and gatherings had carried out in many neighbourhoods of this mega city.
In many other cities too, people came to the streets. On this day, the universities were also protesting at the national level, and dozens of university rallies were connected with street demonstrations. Students also came to the streets and marched in different cities such as Mashhad, Qazvin, Tehran, Bukan, Zarinshahr and Isfahan. And they chanted and honored the memory of Mahsa.
According to reports, the range of demonstrations and protests has spread to the entire country and rallies and demonstrations have taken place in more than 45 cities. The names of the cities whose gatherings have been reported so far are: Saqqez, Tehran, Sanandaj, Bojnoord, Babol, Lahijan, Isfahan, Marivan, Mahabad, Mashhad, Diwandre, Dehgolan, Javanroud, Shiraz, Rasht, Ahvaz, Bushehr, Gilan Gharb, Qasr Shirin, Qazvin, Najafabad, Hamedan. , Rodehen, Kerman, Tabriz, Karaj, Gohardasht, Iranshahr, Babolsar, Damghan, Malayer, Javanrud, Borujerd, Urmia, Arak, Ardabil, Khorasgan, Kashan, Zarinshahr, Shahryar, Yazd, Zanjan, Amol, Zahedan, and Semnan.
In Tehran, the largest gathering was held by medical doctors in Amirieh area, when the security forces attacked them, people rushed to support them and a large crowd was formed. A slogan of today’s protests was the slogan “The 40th of Mahsa, the back of the regime is broken” which was chanted by the students, and this was a true expression of the regime’s situation under siege by the people. Woman, life, freedom is the unifying motto of all people.
In these days of uprisings we have witnessed many workers strikes too. Tabriz tractor manufacturing workers, Tehran oil workers, Tehran BRT drivers, Tabriz Aydin workers, Asalouye oil project workers, and Abadan oil refinery workers went on strike on different days.
Today there was a general strike in all cities of Kurdistan, as well as in several big cities such as Bushehr, Isfahan, Shiraz and Gilan Gharb, Qasr Shirin, Javanroud, Rasht, Iranshahr, Kerman, Shariati Street and Iqbal. With the general strike and closing of the markets, more people join the street protests.
In their protests, people pull down the billboards of Khamenei, Qassem Soleimani and other ruling murderers. They remove all the symbols of the Islamic government. They attack the repression forces of the government and set their engines on fire, change the names of the streets to Mahsa and “revolution”.
Today, people in Iran showed their determination to end the hell of the Islamic regime with their large and widespread gatherings, with their militant slogans and with their unity and solidarity. The Islamic government must go.
