Today, Wednesday, May 24, a group of retirees from the Social Security Organization of Shush and Ahvaz gathered in front of the Social Security Building of Ahvaz to pursue their livelihood demands and to protest against the sentencing of Farzaneh Zillabi the lawyer of pensioners and workers. The retirees were chanting “retirees even if die, don’t accept humiliation” and in front of the gathering line, they held a big banner in their hands to protest the conviction of Farzane Zillabi. The retirees demand the immediate release of Farzaneh Zillabi and the closure of her security case.
On this day, also the truck drivers and truck owners of Isfahan Terminal went on strike for the third day in protest against the rising currency prices and rampant inflation and their poor living conditions. In this regard, truck drivers also went on strike at Arak and Bandar Abbas terminals.
On May 23rd, a group of workers of Darugar factory in Tehran gathered in front of the judiciary building to protest the postponement of their wage and insurance claims for four to seven months. The number of these workers is one hundred.
