The organizing council of oil contract workers’ protests has published a report on the strikes of parts of oil project workers in Asaluyeh. It is stated in this news that today, June 21th, oil project workers in various parts of Asaluyeh went on strike in protest against the lack of salary increase and even the non-acceptance of the 35% increase approved by the Supreme Labor Council on behalf of the contractors. According to this news, in this protest movement, a number of electrical and precision instrument workers of Setareh Taraz Company in Bushehr site 1, electrical and precision instrument workers of Jahanpars Copper Sarchesmeh, Dehloran Petrochemical in Dasht Abbas, scaffolding workers of Padna Sanat Expansion Company, paint and insulation workers Sazeh Pod Site 1 Bushehr Company went on strike on this day and left their workshops.

 In this regard, we previously reported that on May 18, more than 1,200 workers in Payandan, Elixir Sanat, and IPMI went on strike in phase 14 of Kangan. In a news release titled “Immediate wage increase”, the protest organization council of the oil contract workers writes: “The organization council of the oil contract workers protests supported and stressed on the strike of the project colleagues on the demand for a wage increase and expects all the workers have widely supported this protest movement. As we have already announced, the first demand of our oil project workers for this year’s contracts is to expect at least a 45% increase in wages at all levels. and we are working for it. We declare that if the wages do not increase, our protests will take place in a wider way.

The demand for wage increase is the national demand of the workers in Iran.
