On July 20, according to the news published by the Coordinating Council of Nurses’ Protests, a group of employees of Tehran’s Moheb Kausar Hospital gathered in protest against the nationalisation or governmentalization of this hospital and the policy of firing nurses.

On the same day, a number of medical personnel on behalf of their colleagues held a protest rally in front of the gate of the Ilam Governorate in protest against the non-payment of their salaries and benefits in the last year.

The low level of salaries, the postponement of payment of salaries, the pressure of heavy work and forced overtime, and the shortage of nurses, as well as discrimination in the payments, are among the nationwide protest issues of nurses and medical staff.

Also, today, July 21, wheat farmers in Andimeshk in Khuzestan province gathered in front of the governor of this city to protest against the government’s non-payment of the price of the wheat they sold.
