Protest gathering of Shadegan Steel workers, and some other news

Today, July 30, Shadegan steel workers in Khuzestan protested the dismissals for the second consecutive day in front of the steel complex, and demanded to return to work. According to reports, the CEO of Shadegan Steel stated in an interview with state TV that seven hundred of the workers who were engaged in the steel project were terminated under the pretext of completing the project, and the rest of the workers, i.e. the other 400, will also be dismissed after the end of the project.

Today in Kermanshah city, the employees of the governor’s office gathered in the office of the vice president of human resources in protest against irregular and selective hirings..

On this day, a group of farmers from Khorasgan, Isfahan, gathered in the main square of this city with the demand of the reopening of the water flow of the Zayandeh Rood River, while their tractors were parked side by side. The summer heat and lack of water have endangered the crops and livelihood of farmers.

Also, in Kozaran, Kermanshah and Bandar Abbas, farmers protested against the reduction of their fuel quota. In this regard, tractor owners held a protest rally in Bandar Abbas.

Another protest news is related to the gathering of Chah Bahar desalination project workers who have been on strike for four days due to non-payment of their wages. These workers have faced not receiving their salaries since several months ago. This delay in payment of salaries has created many livelihood problems for workers and their families. The workers demand immediate payment of their wages.

The latest news is that many industries in the south are in trouble due to power outages. Among other things, Kimia Gostar MDF Taherkhani company, located in Shavor section of Karkhe city, was temporarily closed due to electricity imbalance in Darastan. And 160 workers of this company are pursuing their work and living conditions.
