According to the reports received today 26th August, the strike of more than one thousand Pars Wagon workers continues, and the workers are pursuing their demands by gathering on the entrance door of the factory in protest of layoffs and lack of job security.
The immediate demands of Pars Wagon workers are: removal of existing management, removal of discrimination, termination of contractors, equalization of workers’ rights and benefits with other neighboring factories and Mapna Group, formalization of workers’ contracts, and return to work of fired workers.
Pars Wagon Company is a company affiliated to “Mapna” industrial group, and most of its shares belong to the Ministry of Energy and the organization known as “Astan Quds Razavi” which is a religious institution in Mashahd city related to eights Shiite Imam and is a centre for astronomical government embezzlements, and the workers are protesting the extortion ruling in this company, which is connected to the government. Wagon Pars workers need global support.
