Massive protests by workers in the oil industry

 November 26: Retired oil workers in the city of Ahvaz protested the low level of their salaries and the anti-labor statute of the government board for pension funds, and demanded the cancellation of this statute and the end of interference with the oil pension fund.

November 25: 3000 oil third-pillar workers gathered in front of the pension fund, continuing their protest Tuesdays, from all refineries of the South Pars Gas Complex (12 refineries). Families were also present at the gatherings, and the workers, shouted “Fair wages are our inalienable right,” and raised their voices of protest against empty promises, discrimination, inequalities, and the existing anti-labor structure, and pursued their demands.

The demands of third-pillars workers and the support workers of contracting companies in the South Pars Gas Complex include: the right to organize, assemble, and protest, the complete removal of contracting companies, the immediate and unconditional return to work of all dismissed workers, and an end to security cases against protesting workers.

November 25: a group of Khorasan Petrochemical retirees, whose benefits was cut off 15 months ago due to collusion between the pension fund and the employer, gathered and protested.
