Gatherings Workers of Aghajari Oil and Gas Company and Offshore Oil Company
Following the national protests of formal oil workers, today January 10, formal oil workers gathered in Aghajari Gas and Oil Exploitation Company, and yesterday in Offshore Oil Company in Behrgansar (Falat e Ghareh) platform and in South Pars Energy Special Economic Zone Organization.
Formal oil worker protests started in early September 2023. The protest of these workers is against the management corruption, setting of salary caps and the reduction of their incomes and the failure to respond to their stated demands. Their request is to completely remove the salary cap, remove corrupt and incompetent managers and no steal from the pension fund, remove the restriction on the right to pension, return the excess deductions of taxes withheld, fully implementation of Article 10 and pay its arrears.
So far, the oil management and officials have not given a convincing answer to the workers and have only made promises, but the workers say that they will not stop protests by empty promises.
