immediate Release of Political Prisoners
I am writing to you to express my concern for the health and safety of political prisoners in Iran. Due to the rapid spread of COVID-19 in Iran and the lack of proper hygiene in prisons, I urge you to release all labour activists, human rights, and environmental activists immediately.
The lack of adequate medical requirements and medicines to treat this virus has created a dangerous situation which could lead to the deaths of prisoners.
We are gravely concerned about the impact this could have on the lives of political prisoners and their families. These prisoners should be released and allowed to return to their families to ensure adequate care and protection.
We are urgently call for the freedom of all political prisoners to protect their health and safety which cannot be guaranteed with the condition of the prisons.
