Political Prisoners in Iran
The Vancouver and District Labour Council (VDLC) is a federation of trade unions representing roughly 60,000 workers in our region of Canada.
I am writing in follow-up to the numerous letters and appeals issued to the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran by our organization over the past many years.
We are again urgently calling for the release of all labour, human rights, and environmental activists imprisoned in Iran, and an end to the repressive measures which continue to be directed at the labour movement and others.
