Today, November 13, official workers working in Aghajari Oil and Gas Exploitation Company gathered and protested. Their gathering is to pursue their demands and they gathered in front of the management of this company. The complete elimination of the salary cap, the elimination of the limitation of retirement benefits, the return of excess tax deduction, the full implementation of Article 10 and the payment of its back pay are the urgent demands of official workers at the national level. In addition, official workers are protesting embezzlement and theft and tampering with the pension fund. This week, official oil workers held joint gatherings with oil retirees and raised the flag of the fighting alliance of these two important labour sectors with the slogan “Employed and Retirees Unite!”.
The protests of official oil workers are getting wider every day. These protests have paved the way for the emergence of other sectors of oil workers, including project workers and contract workers, who fought gloriously with the demand of dismantling contractors from workplaces and improving their working and living conditions.
