Today, November 13, the workers of all the different sections of the National Steel Industrial Group in Ahvaz stopped working for the third day in a row to protest against the low ceiling of salaries and against the promises of the corrupt management and did not respond to their demands and gathered and marched in the company premises.
The workers responded to the management’s threats with the slogans “Neither threats nor jail are working anymore” and “We don’t want an unworthy manager, we don’t want them”. The urgent demands of these workers include the immediate increase in salaries and their equalization according to those received by similar companies, the full implementation of the job classification plan, and the return to work of all fired workers. The workers had raised their demands many times, but they did not get an answer, and today they were chanting “We said we would come, this is just the beginning” and in this way they emphasized their determination to get their demands.
