The Islamic Republic Continues Its Crimes. The regime, having suffered heavy blows and entered a ceasefire mode, has intensified its repression and increased the number of executions. According to reports, today, July 27, two political prisoners—Behrouz Ehsani Eslamlou and Mehdi Hassani—were executed in Ghezel Hesar prison. They were arrested during the Woman, Life, Freedom uprising in 2022, and their families were kept in the dark for months.

These two were sentenced to death on charges such as rebellion (baghi), enmity against God (moharebeh), corruption on Earth (efsad fel-arz), membership in the Mojahedin, and collusion against national security. Free Them Now expresses its condolences for the loss of these two political activists to their families, friends, and the people.

Campaigns and movements against executions are ongoing at various levels. Meanwhile, public protests against widespread power and water outages are expanding daily. Even as the Islamic Parliament passed the government’s urgent repressive bill aimed at combating the spread of “false news content” on social media—and the regime has ramped up its repression—society is growing more defiant.

In Sabzevar, people chanted “Water, electricity, life—these are our basic rights,” marking a turning point in popular struggles. Retirees have also resumed their regular protest Sundays. These widespread public protests, along with the powerful “Let’s Unite Our Voices” campaign against executions and imprisonment, are the people’s response to the criminal Islamic regime. They demonstrate society’s determination to complete its unfinished revolution.

Against this murderous regime, every effort must be made to expand and strengthen this movement.
