Following the transfer of several prisoners from Ghezel Hesar Prison to solitary confinement for the implementation of their death sentences, around 1,500 inmates began a hunger strike since October 12, 2025 in protest against executions and the killing machine of the Islamic regime. On the evening of October 13, families of those sentenced to death gathered in front of the prison to protest.
The demands—both inside and outside the prison—are clear:
“No to execution,” “Abolish the death penalty immediately,” and “Do not execute!”
In a statement from inside the prison, the striking prisoners called on the people to actively support them and not allow the Islamic regime to send more of them to the execution squads every day.
“Don’t let them kill us!” — This is the outcry and demand of prisoners who are in fact victims of the corrupt, oppressive, and tyrannical regime of the Islamic Republic. They are victims of poverty, deprivation, and lack of rights. Even if some have committed offenses, these are consequences of the social ills created by this regime itself.
Instead of eradicating poverty, the Islamic Republic eradicates the poor. Moreover, the judiciary system of this regime is utterly unreliable — confessions are extracted under torture and coerced from detainees.
Free Them Now firmly supports the strike and protest of the prisoners of Ghezel Hesar and calls on all workers and the public to stand in solidarity with them. Let us unite our voices and stop the machinery of execution and state murder in Iran.

از اعتصاب زندانیان زندان قزل حصار علیه اعدام دفاع کنید!
در پی انتقال شماری از زندانیان قزلحصار به سلولهای انفرادی برای اجرای حکم اعدام و گرفتن جان آنها، حدود ۱۵۰۰ نفر از زندانیان این زندان از روز ۲۱ مهر ۱۴۰۴ در اعتراض به اعدام و آدمکشی جمهوری اسلامی دست به اعتصاب غذا زدهاند. این اعتصاب در شامگاه ۲۲ مهر با تجمع و اعتراض خانوادههای محکومان به اعدام در مقابل زندان همراه شد. خواستهها چه درون زندان و چه بیرون آن روشن بود: “نه به اعدام”، “لغو فوری حکم اعدام” و “اعدام نکنید”!.
زندانیان اعتصابی در بیانیهای از داخل زندان از مردم خواستهاند که از آنها فعالانه حمایت کنند و نگذارند جمهوری اسلامی هر روز شماری از آنها را به جوخه اعدام بسپارد.
“نگذارید ما را بکشند” فریاد و خواست بخشهایی از جامعه است که در واقع قربانیان نظام فاسد، ستمگر و زورگوی جمهوری اسلامیاند. آنان قربانیان فقر، نداری و بی حقوقی هستند و اگر هم احیانا خطایی مرتکب شدهاند، در نتیجه ناهنجاریهایی بوده است که این رژیم برای مردم ایران به وجود آورده است. جمهوری اسلامی بهجای آنکه فقر را ریشهکن کند، فقرا را نابود میکند. به علاوه به طور واقعی تشخیص و احکام دستگاه قضائی جمهوری اسلامی مطلقا قابل اعتماد نیست و اینها زیر شکنجه از بازداشت شدگان اعتراف می گیرند.

اعدام قتل عمد دولتی است. جمهوری اسلامی از سلاح اعدام برای به سکوت کشیدن فضای اعتراضی و انقلابی جامعه استفاده می کند. ما از همه تشکلها و اتحادیه های بین المللی میخواهیم که از حرکت زندانیان قزل حصار و کلا جنبش علیه اعدام دفاع کنند و حکومت اسلامی را به خاطر جنایاتش محکوم و بایکوت کنند.
