Workers in Iran celebrated May day despite the government offensive
The Mayday in Iran was a passionate day, which happened in the following of a passionate workers struggle in last year, took place in Tehran and various cities. Many statements were issued by labor unions and labor centers, teachers and retirees, writers, gays, and by a number of labor activists, women’s rights activists and dozens of women’s rights activists, including the girls of Revolution Street.
The Islamic Republic summoned a significant number of labor activists in different cities from days before May 1 and made more control in the centers that were planning to hold May Day. Despite this, significant mobility took place in different cities and centers, The workers were able to march, demonstrations and any other intimidation.

After a while, the security forces attacked them in a brutal way. The crowd protests the brutal arrests of workers. The police once again attacked the crowd and pushed them violently towards the exits in front of the parliament. Finally, some were arrested.
The names of seven detainees are as follows: Hossein Azarghosseb, Mohsen Saghafi, Peyman Ahmadi, Mostafa Aghaei, Babak Kermanian and Tahmineh Khosravi who were released on may 2.

In Saqez, security forces attacked the ranks of workers who had gathered to commemorate the International May Day and after one hour of conflict with workers Osman Ismaili. Was arrested and Mahmoud Salehi also wounded during this attack.
