According to “the organizing council of oil contract workers”, following the strike of the workers in Asaluyeh, the workers of the Kangan refinery and also the second phase of the Abadan oil refinery have gone on strike. The oil workers are striking to support the nationwide protests and uprising against the Islamic regime. They chant “down with the dictator”.

Strikes in oil, this vital economic sector in Iran, take the uprising against the Islamic regime into a more advanced turning point that is difficult to suppress by the regime.

These strikes are the beginning of the nationwide strikes in all sectors of the society.

Free Them Now salutes the striking oil workers, and calls on all workers to join the national strike against the repressive Islamic regime. This regime should be boycotted all over the world and its diplomats be expelled form all countries.
