Today, 26th November more than 4000 workers of all Steel Company departments in Isfahan ( Sherkaté Zob âhané Esfahan) went on strike. The strike started from the morning shift section in protest against the low level of salaries and the non-fulfilment of promises, and the workers gathered and protested in the company premises. These workers also went on strike and gathered on the 15th and 16th of November and “100% increase in salaries” was their protest slogan. Face with their strong strike, the Minister of Labour hastened to Steel Company (Zob Ahan), and in a meeting attended by him, a representative of the Ministry of Labour and a hundred representatives of the workers, they promised that the demands of the workers would be implemented by the November 26th (today) . But nothing was done. So today as they had warned before, the workers of this large workers complex went on strike again. According to the workers, their wages are lower than other steel companies, and due to the daily increase in prices, it does not cover their living expenses.
Today, also the workers of the Iran Automobile Company’s regular production industrial company went on strike in protest of the delay in paying their wages for 9 months.
Also on November 24, the workers of the Cruise parts manufacturing company in the car industry went on strike again with the demand to increase their wages and to recognize the official holidays and to restore the overtime shifts on Fridays. They gathered in the factory premises and rallied and chanted slogans against the management and for their demands. These workers previously stopped work and gathered at site 3 in the first and second shifts on November 19, and their previous gathering was on November 17. Cruise Group, a car parts manufacturer, has 12,000 workers in Fars province.
On November 24, also, the workers of the motive power machinery that is mainly car gearbox manufacturer went on strike in protest of the low level of salaries. These workers gathered in the company premises and chanted. This factory is one of the three private companies in Haft Sangan neighbourhood of Qazvin province, Alborz city, and it produces gearboxes for Iran Khodro automobiles, specifically Peugeot automobiles, and gearbox parts for other Iran Khodro products. Workers are continuing their strikes.

Today, I went to the beach front with my kids.
