Jailed workers in Iran keep on their struggle behind bars. The fight for justice, equality, ending poverty, ending persecution of dissidents, freedom of organisation, freedom of speech and expression, the battle for a better life for everyone is also being fought by the jailed workers who speak up from behind bars and inspire other workers. .

Esmaeil Bakhshi, Jafar Azimzadeh, Parvin Moahhmadi, Mohammd Habibi, Esmail Abdi, are some of the leaders of the workers and teachers movement in Iran that the capitalists and rulers are afraid of. It’s their call and tireless struggle for freedom and equality, for fairness and justice, and for rule of councils as the alternative to the current political system which is in the service of the top wealthy 1%. It’s their brave resistance hope for life that shakes up the foundations of the regime. It’s the duty of the working class and its representatives to stand up for the jailed workers and dissidents; it’s the call of May1st to show “the international solidarity” and say no to oppression and persecution of the workers who have changed many lives and have brought hope for many more.

This May 1st, must be the day when the jailed leaders of the working class movement in Iran see “the international solidarity” so should the Islamic Republic feel the pressure of the humanity more than before.

We call on everyone to do what they can to free the beloved jailed workers and teachers and all political prisoners in Iran.

May1st is the symbolic day of justice for the working class; let us establish the end to phenomenon of “jailed workers” and political prisoners this May1st, International Workers Day.

Long Live May1st, International Workers Day
