Today, Tehran and Ahvaz witnessed mass gatherings and protests of workers, retirees, and nurses. In Tehran formal oil workers gathered in front of the oil ministry, according to the reports published by the organizing council of oil contract workers protests, These workers have been protesting for some time now, and are emphasizing their demands. Eliminating the salary cap, restoring the previously deducted excess taxes, removing the salary cap for retirement years, and not tampering with the pension fund are the joint and nationwide demands of official workers.

  The oil pensioners are also protesting because of the attacks on their livelihood and the tampering and looting of the pension fund, and the formal workers were protesting together with them today.

Today, also Ahvaz witnessed a large gathering of different sectors of the workers. The workers of Andika city municipality protested against their poor living conditions in front of the governorate in Ahvaz. At the same time as this rally, national retirees, including retired teachers and social security retirees, as well as nurses, also protested in this place. Thus, today in Ahvaz in front of the governor’s office, a large crowd of protestors gathered and chanted for unity and protest against the rulers.

On this day, professors and employees of Mahshahr Azad University gathered in the premises of this educational centre to protest against the non-payment of their salaries and livelihood demands.

Today, a group of drivers and truck drivers also started a rally and marched in Tehran due to the lack of fuel and their poor living conditions.
