Free Them Now – Campaign To free Jailed Workers in Iran is holding an online gathering to commemorate the fourth anniversary of the “Woman, Life, Freedom” Revolution, honor the memory of those who lost their lives in the struggle, and stand against repression and executions. The gathering will take place online on September 12, 2026 (21 Shahrivar 1405).
The event will reaffirm the aims and living voice of the “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement, which became inseparably associated with the name of Jina (Mahsa) Amini and, in 1401 (2022), mobilized society across Iran against the Islamic regime.
Honoring the ideals of the Mahsa Revolution is a stand against the regime’s machinery of repression and killing and its efforts to force society into submission.
For this occasion, Free Them Now has invited labor activists, teachers, and social activists from Iran, representatives of trade unions in Europe and Canada, as well as organizers of campaigns against the death penalty and for the freedom of political prisoners, to speak at the gathering or send messages of solidarity.
This event seeks, on the fourth anniversary of the revolution, to amplify the people of Iran’s call for justice following the bloody massacre of January 2026, to make the powerful voice of the “Woman, Life, Freedom” Revolution heard in its struggle for liberation from poverty, brutality, and the system of exploitation and oppression imposed on society, and to serve as a symbol of unity in the struggle across Iranian society.
Today, a large number of workers, teachers’, and social activists are imprisoned, while arrests continue on a massive scale and the lives of political prisoners are at serious risk. The regime is sentencing protesters of the revolution to death.
Free Them Now (FTN), reaffirming its commitment to the April Pact Against the Death Penalty, once again calls for the immediate and unconditional release of all political prisoners, an immediate halt to executions, and the abolition of the death penalty.
Free Them Now also calls for an end to the regime’s war-mongering policies and an end to the enormous expenditure on military, repression, and its machinery of violence and crime. We call for an international boycott of the Islamic Regime in response to the mass killings of 1404 (2025–26) and its 47 years of repression, violence, and killings.
An important step in this direction is the expulsion of this regime from all international institutions and bodies, and specifically from the ILO.
