In Ahvaz, retirees gathered in front of the provincial headquarters of the organization in Khuzestan Province. They protested the arrest of their colleague Mohammad Reza Kamrava and the ongoing repression by chanting:
“Free the imprisoned protester,”
“Free the imprisoned worker,”
“Free the imprisoned retiree,” and
“Free Mohammad Reza Kamrava.”

Mohammad Reza Kamrava, one of the protesting retirees, was arrested on Saturday, October 11, 2025 (20 Mehr 1404) by intelligence agents of the IRGC in Ahvaz.

Other slogans chanted by the Social Security retirees in Ahvaz included:
“Looking through glass is not an answer to us,”
“Incompetent official, resign, resign,” and
“Our rights are only won in the streets.”

At the end of the rally, retirees sang the anthem ‘We will not live under oppression; we sacrifice our lives for freedom,’ challenging the entire system of plunder and servitude imposed by the ruling powers.

In Shush, retirees—just as in previous weeks—from the cities of Karkheh, Haft Tappeh, and Shush gathered and chanted:
“Expenses are in dollars, our wages are in rials,”
“Livelihood and dignity are our undeniable rights,” and
“Retiree, shout out loud, demand your rights!”

In Tehran, retirees also gathered in front of the Social Security Organization, shouting ‘Water, electricity, livelihood!’ to protest against poverty, rising prices, and insecurity.

At the same time, retired steelworkers in Isfahan gathered in front of the governor’s office, chanting:
“Steelworker, shout out loud, demand your rights!”
They protested against poor living conditions and government corruption, chanting:
“The result of the government’s work is the plundering of the people’s pockets.”

On this day, nurses of Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences also took to the streets once again, protesting poor living conditions, months of unpaid fees and overtime, and the empty promises of officials.

Another protest was held in Yazd by applicants of the ‘National Housing Plan’, who gathered in front of the provincial Department of Roads and Urban Development. They protested the systemic corruption of the government, which for years has taken people’s money under the pretext of building homes, yet has failed to deliver any while demanding more payments. The National Housing Plan has become one of the main centers of plundering by the regime’s mafia networks.

The latest report states that on October 10 , the strike by Motogen Tabriz workers entered its fifth day. One thousand workers of this industrial complex, citing poor working and living conditions and the threat of layoffs, have demanded the formalization of their contracts. Reports indicate that the factory atmosphere has become highly securitized, with managers monitoring workers’ mobile phones to prevent news of the protests from spreading. Despite this, the strike continues, and workers have declared that they will not end it until their demands are met.
