Mass protests and angry demonstrations in Zahedan and other cities of Sistan and Baluchestan

Today, June 23, despite the security situation in  the city, people held a large gathering and demonstration in Zahedan and chanted against the Islamic regime. In addition to Zahedan, there were mass protests and demonstrations in other cities of Sistan and Baluchestan province, including in the cities of Khash, Rask, Soran, Iranshahr, Chahbahar and Jakigor village. In these protests, people chanted: “Kurds and Baloch, Turks and Arabs, unite!unite!”, “We don’t want a murderer system, we don’t want a murderer leader”, “We swear to our comrades’ blood, we will stand until the end”, “Zahedan will stand until the end”, “Death On Khamenei, death to Basij” (Basij is government’s militia), “Political prisoners should be freed”, “Iranians, unite!, revolution, freedom”, and “Death to Khamenei”.

In these gatherings, people were holding banners that read, among other things, “Non-Persian nations deserve to be educated in their mother tongue, have independent political parties and determine their own future”, “Neither Sheikh nor Shah”, “Baloch and Fars are two wings of a bird that will fly only with unity.

In the city of Rask, people held protest placards and demanded punishment for the perpetrators of the massacre of people on the bloody Fridays of Zahedan and Khash. According to the news, in Iranshahr, government security forces clashed with protesting people. According to reports, today, the Islamic regime sent a large number of military vehicles and security forces to the city of Dezap. In Zahedan, military forces were widely deployed in the city and in different areas. A large number of people were arrested. But the protests continue. Today, security and military forces were also present in the cities of Rask, Khash, Saravan, and other cities of Sistan and Baluchestan and were stationed at all entrances and exits.

In the city of Zahedan, despite the heat over 45 degrees Celsius, electricity and water were cut off and people were under pressure.
