16th September 2023, was the first anniversary of the woman, life, freedom revolution in Iran against the Islamic regime. Despite a very heavy security atmosphere and the fact that security forces had occupied every corner of the county, and threats and arrests and the presence of thousands of mercenaries of the Islamic regime, many cities and towns were the scene of rallies and chanting against the Islamic regime. 16th September became a unforgettable day of revolution in Iran and showed once more clearly that this government is the all people’ enemy and must go.

In Tehran, a demonstration and chanting took place in Qaleh Hassan Khan area with the participation of a significant number of boys and girls. Besides, in other areas of Tehran, such as Chitgar, Ekbatan, Saadat Abad, Fardis, Tehran Gate, and Shariati, nightly slogans against the regime and shouts of “death to the dictator” echoed everywhere. In Chitgar area in Tehran, people chanted: “Death to Khamene ei”, “Khamenei! We will put you under the ground!”, and in the west of Tehran, the “Death to the murderous IRGC” and “Death to the dictator” was heard strongly.

In Rasht city, the women and youth came to the streets and clapped and chanted the slogan of “freedom, freedom, freedom” and other slogans. Cars also accompanied the demonstrators with continuous car horns. In Shahr–e-kord city, the demonstrators chanted: “mullah get lost!”, and “We are all together” and other anti-government slogans.

In Sanandaj, many young militants and revolutionaries came to the street in Hasan Abad neighborhood, lit a fire, and the slogan of death to the dictator echoed in the city. In Mashhad, people gathered in Mellat Park and chanted: Khanemeni must be overthrown.

In Arak, a crowd of young and other sections of the people came to the street and clapped and shouted slogans: “Death to the dictator”, and “Death to Khamenei”.

In Kermanshah, protesting youths and people came to the streets and clashed with the repression forces. The clashes spread to the surrounding streets and alleys and to the day market, and as the weather got dark, the clashes intensified.The atmosphere of the city was highly inflamed. The youths threw stones at the suppression forces and the special forces were pushed back under the attacks of the youths. In Kerman, the city was under high security control and people were supporting the revolution by turning on the lights of their cars and honking continuously in the streets.

In Gorgan, people came to the street and chanted slogans against the government. Young people in Abdanan also came to the street and chanted against the government. The repressors shot at the crowd and the city’s electricity is cut off. In Lahijan, a number of young people chanted ant-regime slogans. In this city, the security forces attacked the protesting people.

In Zahedan, a number of young people came to the street and chanted: “Death to the dictator”, “Death to Khamenei”, “Death to the oppressor”.

In addition to these cities, slogans were chanted at night in areas such as Juneqan, Gohar Dasht, Karaj and Izeh.

According to reports in Saqqez, one of the protestors named Fardin Jafari, who was severely wounded by the direct fire of the government’s criminal forces on the way to Aichi cemetery, the burial place of Mahsa Amini, died after a few hours in Shafa hospital in this city despite the efforts of doctors.

But the people know the killer of Fardin Jafari and the city is full of anger and protest. Also, nightly reports report shootings at protesting people in Baharestan Bala neighborhood in saqqez and dozens of reconnaissance drones are currently patrolling over Saqqez city.

The latest news is that thirteen political prisoners exiled to Ghezelhesar prison went on a hunger strike for three days starting yesterday 16th September in support of the revolution and popular uprising.
